Greer County Sheriff Steve McMahan has announced a new website for the Sheriff’s Office launched on July 11, 2023, as an information resource for the public and to assist with community policing efforts. The website, greercountysheriff.org, will allow visitors to find the latest information regarding the operations of the department, according to a news release from the Sheriff.
The design and its ability to be easily navigated, even on a mobile device, will greatly benefit the citizens of Greer County. The Sheriff’s Office has partnered with Lighthouse Web Designs & Marketing, an Oklahoma web design and digital marketing agency. “I am grateful for the collaborative efforts among our staff and the staff at Lighthouse in this concerted effort to keep our community informed with the latest technology,†said Sheriff McMahan. “I’m very excited that we can integrate state-of-the-art communication tools into our crime prevention and community outreach efforts.â€
The responsive design allows visitors to access the information they want and need with simple, flexible navigation. It adapts to mobile and tablet screens. It features news releases, current openings at our office, pages on the services of each department division, livestock registry, our SafeCam Program publications of Sheriff Sales, an up-to-date jail roster, and information regarding jail commissary and inmate phones. It also allows the public to see registered sex offenders and violent offenders registered within Greer County, as well as the county’s most wanted individuals, and provide crime tips.
